On Saturday, October 26, 2013, thirteen Troop 1 scouts and four Troop 1 leaders visited the Hill Force Base, Ogden, Utah Aerospace Museum to participate and earn Aviation Merit Badge.
Under the direction of Aviation Merit Badge instructor and Captain in the U.S. Air Force, Philip E. Butler, Troop 1ers were also treated to a VIP tour of the Hill Air Force Base Aerospace Museum, providing an inside look at a variety of aircraft spanning the past 100 years.
After spending several hours at Hill AFB and completing lunch, Troop 1 scouts and leaders were given a tour of the Ogden, Utah Airport Control Tower by several air traffic control operators working inside the facility. Members of Utah's oldest scout troop learned quite a lot about aviation today!
